Yes! Word and quote modes are completely free with no sign-up required. Code mode gives you 1 free test per day. Pro unlocks unlimited code tests, all durations, and detailed analytics.
Does my typing data leave my browser?
Never. All your test results, personal bests, streaks, and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. We don't have a database for user typing data — it literally cannot leave your device.
How is WPM calculated?
WPM (Words Per Minute) is calculated using the standard formula: (correct characters / 5) / (elapsed minutes). One "word" equals 5 characters. This is the same method used by professional typing certification tests.
Can I practice coding-specific typing?
Yes! Code mode includes snippets in JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript with real symbols, brackets, and syntax. Free users get 1 code test per day; Pro users get unlimited access to all languages.
What's the difference between Pro and Crate Pass?
